Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit more
about me. My name is Ronda Hayner, but my family call me "Ma"! I was born and raised in Ca
and moved to the Midwest in 1989. I am a mom, a grandmother, and
a great-grandmother. I currently reside in Kansas City, MO with
my daughter, my son-in-law and 3 of my wonderful grandchildren.
I lost the love of my life, my husband Dino 11 years ago. Since
then life hasn't been the same, but I keep positive knowing he
is watching over me.
For the past 8 years I worked as a cook in a health and rehap
center. I really enjoyed my job, and enjoyed making
the residents happy with the food I created. In Oct. 2011, I was diagnosed with Menieres disease, which put me on temporary
disability and caused me to lose the hearing in my left ear.
It's an incurable disease, so I have had to learn to
live with the side affects. After talking it over with my family,
we felt it best that I retire from
working fulltime and move in with them. I am now enjoying my
days relaxing and watching my grandchildren and
great-granddaughter grow up.
I enjoy cooking and sharing my love of food with others. When my
children were growing up, I cooked all our meals from scratch.
Going out to eat was very rare and even then our family prefer
mom's home cooked meals.
I know times have changed since my children were little. Back
then, I had the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom. Many
parents don't have that these days. Life seems to have gotten a
lot busier since then and along with the hustle of working,
running a family, and going to children's activities, it can be
hard to find the time to create a home cooked meal.
That's why I'm so excited to share Country Gourmet Home food
mixes with you. These mixes are wonderful and allow even the
busiest mom (or dad) to create a home cooked meal from scratch
in no time at all.
